Why water & dirt should be you biggest concern?
When metals react with oxygen and water, this is known as corrosion. It leads to the formation of hard, highly abrasive particles. In gear oil contaminated with water, these metallic impurities trigger an oxidative chain reaction. Free radicals are formed, which attack the hydrocarbon molecules and break down the oil. But that‘s not all: when oil additives react with water, acids are formed that further accelerate the decomposition. Over time, oil properties such as lubricity, viscosity and shear strength change.
With higher flow characteristics, friction points are no longer supplied with the necessary volume of hydraulic oil. Extremely viscous oils, on the other hand, put a strain on the system‘s drive units and reduce efficiency. Oil ageing residues clog valves, sludge formation increases filter requirements and acidification hightens the risk of corrosion of all metallic components, plus impairs the seals.
Preventing the entry of moisture and dirt as well as the formation of corrosion is therefore the top priority in order to operate gears for a long time, cost-effectively and with low maintenance! And that is exactly what our GIEBEL Adsorbers® do!

Un GIEBEL Adsorber® è un filtro essiccante che rimuove l'umidità e le impurità dall'aria di alimentazione destinata a impianti idraulici, ingranaggi, serbatoi di stoccaggio, fusti, IBC e trasformatori. Impedisce la formazione di condensa all'interno di questi sistemi e i danni che ne derivano, quali la corrosione e il degrado dell'olio.
Il cuore dell’Adsorber® di GIEBEL è l’essiccante ad alte prestazioni GIEBEL Xdry®, composto da gel di silice arancione-verde e setaccio molecolare 13X. Offre una capacità di essiccazione notevolmente superiore rispetto ai tradizionali filtri a gel di silice e mantiene il sistema affidabilmente asciutto anche a temperature elevate e bassi livelli di umidità
Le valvole proteggono l'essiccatore con sfiato da carichi superflui negli impianti con lunghi periodi di inattività, mentre i nostri raccordi e accessori versatili rendono l'installazione un gioco da ragazzi, anche in spazi ristretti.
Un GIEBEL Adsorber® convoglia l’aria in ingresso nel sistema attraverso un essiccante e un filtro da 3 micrometri, impedendo che umidità e contaminanti possano causare danni all’interno. Offre una protezione affidabile contro la corrosione, il deterioramento degli oli di esercizio e la degradazione degli additivi.
Quando l’aria viene espulsa dal sistema, l’adsorbitore filtra inoltre le particelle di olio e gli aerosol presenti nell’aria di scarico.

Naturalmente, è possibile installare un adsorbitore anche in un secondo momento. Tra i segnali evidenti che indicano la necessità di un filtro di sfiato figurano un calo misurabile della qualità dell’olio di esercizio, la presenza di goccioline di condensa nel serbatoio o sul tappo del serbatoio, oppure i primi segni di corrosione.
